Patchwork Café, Tasmania


My guests enjoyed a wonderful day in New Norfolk. One of the favourite spots was the Patchwork Café where some very talented people had put their work on display. There was quite an array of quilting fabrics, ideas and designs along with a wonderful cup of coffee and morning tea.
 

Antique and Pre-Loved Stores

New Norfolk is one of the Tasmania’s oldest towns, so it is not surprising there are many antique, pre-loved and opportunity (op) shops to browse.  My guests definitely found some bargains to give a new home to.

 

 

 

 

 

Willow Court Antiques, Tasmania

One huge antique shop is Tasmania’s former mental asylum at Willow Court. It has a very sombre history and disturbing history. The complex the oldest in Australia. It was also the biggest in the Southern Hemisphere before it closed in 2000.
