Hiking in Hobart, Tasmania
Stunning Tasmanian Scenery
My guests and I took a lovely hike along one of the many beautiful bush tracks around Hobart’s eastern shore.
Beautiful scenery and bloody history
Many homes have been built around the bays and inlets on the Derwent River.
In the early days of colonisation these were horrible places, as they were the sites of whaling stations where they were slaughtered.
Bee Plants
This strange array of oddly shaped plants are commonly called “bee plants”. In Springtime they are a mass of blue – purple flowers and they are alive with the hum of the bees.
